No answers here, I know that it has been over a year now and my hubby still complains of pains in his head, not necessarily where the surgery was performed, but in the different areas where his head was put in the halo to keep your head still. I am constantly rubbing his head and every now and again I will run my fingers over a spot and he will yell out and it will be no where near the procedure area.
I am sorry I could not help, just wanted you to know you are not alone out there with the headaches after surgery.

It's been slightly over a year since my craniotomy and I still experience severe headaches. My neurologist seems to think that I just am a person who has chronic migraines, which need to be treated independently from my cancer. The most recent medication that he put me on this week is called Amitriptyline. He claims that it might be helpful in reducing my headaches and chronic back pain. I've only been taking it for 2 days and all it's done so far is cause fatigue, but I am hopeful it will have a beneficial result after a couple weeks.
Do you still see your neurologist or even the neurosurgeon who performed your surgery? Perhaps one of them would be able to treat your headaches.
