I am grateful today that:
1)I was able to get my grandbaby into the dermatologist, who said that the bumps on the baby are NOT scabies! That is why the medicine did not work. She said it looked like staph.
2)My son is a senior in nursing school and has started the baby's treatment while I am at work.
3)My friend is coming to Seattle for a performance(he's a musician) and I have the day off
4)I have 5 days off starting at 8PM!
5)My good friend is coming over to help me diagnose and fix my squeaky dryer.
6)My son, grandaughter and I visit my daughter Sunday
7)By transferring my prescription to Walgreens, I got a $25 gift card, which I used to buy a scooby doo costume for the baby.
8)With all this going on, I don't have to friek out. I know that one moment at a time, my HP and I will walk through anything life dishes out. :D

Hi dear Alice and all who follow ~ As always I'm a day late. Seems I can ever get here on time. I either come too early or too late. lol
I'm sorry to hear your Grandbaby has staph, but at least they have it figured out now~ I hope it clears up soon!
Your gratitude list is great. And #8 on your list is ABSOLUTELY right.
Right now, I don't feel very grateful, but I'm gonna have to work on that and hit a meeting. I get the feeling my daughter is trying to drive me nuts! For some reason, and I SWEAR I don't know why, but she does NOT believe much of anything I tell her anymore. I swear to GOD I do NOT lie or exaggerate or embellish ANY 'story' or 'tale' or anything I tell her. She doesn't believe what I've told her about my growing up ~ all she has to do is call her Aunt, and she'll tell her. She doesn't believe we went thru total HELL with her brother when he had leukemia (she was too young to remember), as that was back in 1977 before they knew much about it. Her stupid father told her it was "no big deal." HAH!!! Sure, he damn near died on us, that's all. My daughter has at times flat out called me a liar! I have NEVER ONCE lied to my daughter about ANYTHING. I wish I knew where this is coming from. Her Dad is dead now (died 2 years ago) so he's not filling her head with crap anymore. Since she and her daughter live with me, it makes things pretty tense around here. Sorry for dumping it all on your people, but I know I can come here if need be.
It's QUITE fall-like here ~ windy as heck, and we're drying out after a deluge of pouring rain for 2 days. Hope no one else got this mess! Thought we'd have to build a boat!
Take care all. Newcomers ~ feel free to jump in! God bless. Lee

Hi Lee,
I am happy to say that the baby is dramatically better this AM. I am so happy to have this resolved. 9 weeks of misdiagnosed "scabies" was driving me crazy. I have done 2 or more loads of laundry a day, bathed twice a day, blew dry my hair twice a day...to the point of being itchy from irritation and just the thought of it! The baby has more energy, a better appitite and the bumps are going away!
The thing about daughters is no matter we know what they are going through, they are not going to "get it" from us. My daughter won't listen to anything I say. I just try not to take it personal. My daughter looks up to these women in NA that look up to me. So she is still getting it from me, just it goes through them first. Your daughter will hopefully "get it" from somewhere that her HP designs for her. Our disease manefests as obsession and compulsion covered up by denial. It is not in a bottle or a pill. It is in our head. Control issues are a huge part of my disease I know.
Blessings to all! :D
