have you updated yahoo msgr lately? I'm getting memory read errors randomly when I shut down IE, since yahoo forcing me to upgrade msgr. That upgrade changed my homepage and added yahoo toolbar which I told it not to add. I haven't looked into it, but it could be because I disabled the toolbar.

I do have sounds though like check mail. I don't know about the other sounds. I think there are some beta issues with yahoo.

hi annie - i remember there was a problem, but not what it was.

I just disabled the yahoo services and yahoo IE services button in IE > tools > manage add ons and so far no more memory errors when closing IE. Only yahoo add on enabled in yahoo messenger.

started to copy overe the thread (on BT2) but it was long. everything you were telling me to do was already set. you thought that it was something within yahoo. whatever it was it cleared by itself, happens occasionally on yahoo still.

After Trillian updated YIM I had some memory problems as well. Good thing I set a restore point before installing and just rolled back a day or two.

So look for a new update (soon hopefully) and we'll try our luck again

P.S. Hi D :) Love the new puppy!
