Kathy - When is your surgical procedure being done? Can I ask why you're so frightened? I must admit I really don't like being put to sleep, but have to say that when it's all said and done, I wake up and wonder what it was I was so darned frightened about...

It will be fine.......Just imagine --- you may be free of all your pain. Wouldn't that be terrific?

Mia,
You are very sweet.
I have been in a lot of pain, and since there were no answers from all of the testing, this was supposed to be an exploratory, but this dr has a laundry list of what he wants to do since he thinks (and I know) that they won't have me over this barrel again.

I can handle the pain of the surgery and the aftermath. I cannot handle the bldg, the bed and most of all being hooked up to stuff like IVs. I won't have injections, yet will permit blood tests. I fight hard when it comes to staying awake. Bottom line...I'm terrified and feel like a rat in a trap.

Thanks everyone. I canceled this surgery today, with my gp's blessing. I will most likely have a different surgery in the next week or so.
