Hey everyone, I'm not really used to blogging so bear with me.

I'm a 25 year old myoclonus patient. I've been diagnosed for almost 3 years now but have had symptoms for several years. I'm waiting to get into this school, but it's really stressing me out which doesn't help with my jerks. I'm very self-concious about it and am not sure I have the gusto to go to this school.

On the brighter side - I'm an artist who is trying to get well known. I don't have a web side, but I hope to have it up soon. Needless to say my Myoclonus causes some problems with drawing, but I've found that using my computer to paint helps.

I'd like to know what kind of things other people do - not just with myoclonus but with other problems - as far as finding a job or meating people without freeking them out while explaining why just studdered through the entire conversation.

Ideas - thoughts - anything??

Any and all will be welcome

Hi Doodles,
Love the name! I'm sorry you are dealing with this. It sounds like you are doing alright though and have it mostly under control.
I have spinal issues. I have had them for the last eight years. I can't work because of it. In fact, I can't do much anymore as the rest of my health is going down the pot. Like, lung issues and heart issues.
I do hope you will be able to get a site up and going. You say you are an artist? What kind? Like do you sing, or paint or???
I don't have any of those cool qualities. I wish I did. I always wished I could draw but my eyesight isn't good enough.
Well, good to talk to you and hope you keep coming on here.
Take care and best wishes for the New Year!!
Linda

Thanks Linda

I'm know I'm not the worse case and it makes me feel like I'm complaining too much. My health has always been a little screwy but it mostly effects my social life and my work life.

As far as my artwork - I draw, paint - oils, acrylics, pastels - almost anything. I'm into science fiction but I do alot of abstract drawings, too. I really enjoy it - even more now that I've gotten out of the military. I only now gotten to the point where I think I'm good and I really want to do something with it. I'm sure one of these days, I'll figure out what.

Thanks for the talk. It really helps when someone knows what I'm going through. I'm away from family and friends so I don't really have anyone to talk to about this.

I will stay on! Thanks Linda
