Hey guys, I read about this film the other day after reading phils post, so I decided to take a look by searching about it on youtube.
Its about a 12 year old boy, called Justin Yoder. Justin suffers from spinabifida and hydrocephalus.
Its a true story, but is played by Frankie Muniz, the guy who plays malcolm in 'malcolm in the middle.'

Its shows the discrimination against his condition when applying for sports etc.

I suggest you all take a look, its great to see an actors interpretation of the symptoms.

It can be searched on youtube and is in 10 parts, I have listed the individual links below in order:

I had to laugh at the part where Justin had a headache and the whole family went crazy, running around, calling the hospital.. and then he says "Not THAT type of headache!" haha.. reminded me so much of my family.

PS. I love me some Frankie Muniz! Had a huge crush on him years ago. :-)

Oh my god, Krissy!!
Funny you say that, when I watched it, I laughed my head off at that part. Once i finshed watching the film, I came and told my parents about that one part and even they laughed.

Ive only got to say to my parents 'I have a headache.' and they panick and go crazy, not quite as crazy as they go, but yeh after they go on and on and on, I turn round and say 'No, not that type of headache!!'

Aww bless you, Frankie Muniz eh, hehe. :P

It's a GREAT movie....I love the part where he's telling the neighbor guy that helps him with his derby car about having hydrocephalus. "One shunt malfunction undiagnosed and it's cash in your chocolate chips!" Ok, I think I'm paraphrasing, but...definitely a favorite movie of mine!

OMG, I was SO excited when this came out, and to this day, it's still one of my favorite movies--very accurate, funny, sad, realistic, inspirational, well-acted, well-scripted...what else can I say??!! If you have or love someone who has hydro, you have to see this movie!!!!!!

How old is this movie? Becuase I don't remember reading or hearing about it. But it was SO close to my life it wasn't funny - including having the talented sibling (eventhough my sister has always taken centre stage) who hates me for "getting all the attention" (yes, she does, believe it, or not!)

I did laugh until I nearly cried at that "headache" part! THAT was almost exactly how it happens with me! Or it was, when I was living with my parents.

Quite well acted too, I thought. Sometimes those sorts of movies can be a bit "cheesy" and overdramatised, but the acting was good.

I'll give it a 7/10!

2000, I think.

Yeah, some parts were corny and overblown, but I loved it. :)
