Anyone use any kind of grocery service, that either delivers food or lets you order it and pick it up at a certain time?

Where my parents live we have a local grocery chain that will let you order online and pick them up at a certain time. My parents never used it though.

Comming in mid-March my local store is going to start doing it and I'm excited (just wish they'd deliver!) I hate shopping for groceries, but I'm kind of worried, I'm the type of person that buys the greenest bananas, I'll dig to get the milk with the latest date, bread that isn't burnt, that kind of thing.

So I guess I should say: any picky shoppers use a grocery service?

I use Peapod out here in Massachusetts. Generally I like it. Good selection, same prices as the grocery stores. It bugs me that I can't pick out my own produce, but what I save in time and effort schleping to the store makes it worth the effort. Peapod is an east coast and west coast thing-- they were briefly in Michigan, but didn't make it.

Oh, thanks for the reply, that's too bad that they didn't make it here. It would have made me a happy customer. I'd much rather cook than shop.

I can't remember how long they've been doing it but VGs is who is doing it here...I think since HS sometime... and now my local store is going to start it soon I can't wait. :D

I'm thinking it will make my life easier because try as we might between my sister and cousin no one has time to really take me shopping as much as I do because they're take-out people. Plus, I just hate shopping for food. lol
