Hi friends! I am happy to say my computer is fixed. She charged me for 1 hour, instead of 2 because she took so long due to a wedding she went to in Florida. I am happy that I will be back online! I pick it up Monday. My daughter is still in treatment. The baby's daddy has had her for the past two days, but he wants me to take her tonite. I will keep her as much as I can until my daughter is out of treatment. I have to work and live my life, though. Just for today, I am clean, my daughter is clean and the baby is safe. That is all I can do is today. I am excited that in 5 days I am 10! :D

Thanks for starting roll call. So glad to hear you'll have your computer back some Monday. I know that I sure feel lost without mine. lol ;)
Congrats on your 10th anniversary of being clean and sober in 5 days!!! :)
Sounds like you are doing the best you can to stay "detached with love" from your daughter and her issues. I know that's not always an easy thing to do, especially with your granddaughter in the mix. I really admire the way you approach it all with gratitude for what IS and for keeping it real - in the present moment.
Hope some others stop by.....
Have a peaceful day!!! :D

Hi All ~ Well, I'm a day late but at least I made it.
Alice, Congrats on your upcoming 10 year anniversary!!! That's wonderful and I hope you give yourself some credit! It's not an easy thing to do especially with all the obstacles you've had in your path! I pray your daughter will be successful in (and OUT) of treatment! She owes it to herself and her baby. And I too am glad you've been able to somewhat 'unattach' from the situation, although I know it's not easy. I deal with the same thing, with my son. :(
Teddie ~ Hope things are well with you and your health is good.
As for me, I don't do much anymore. I have a hip that's going to break any minute now, so I don't dare do too much. This darned osteoporosis takes it's toll on ya, so ladies, make SURE you take PLENTY of Calcium with iron and Vitamin D ~ lots of it!!! Just taking meds for osteoporosis isn't enough. Nuts. And it's sure getting cold here too ~ this morning it's only 41 degrees and soooo foggy you can't see across the street! Looks like fall is really here ~ and I'm wondering if we're going to have an early winter? ICK!
Hope all are well. Wish newcomers would join us. Recovery is much easier when you share it with someone! God bless. Peace, Lee

Hi Lee and Teddie...and all else who are lurking. I have my computer now! Good thing because I have to isolate so my grandaughter gets rid of these scabies once and for all. I wish her daddy just lets me keep her all the time, but I am not the one who decides. I told him he has to change her diaper more because I don't like seeing diaper rash on her. She has good skin, it is just lazyness that results in rash. I took a picture and will show the doctor so it is documented. I told him to treat for scabies before I let her go back there. My daughter went over there before he treated and brought it back to the baby the day before she went to treatment. I am glad she is not here now, because I can treat this once and for all. This will be 8 times putting that insectacide on our bodies! I started the baby on some vitamins to help her little system to tolerate the chemical attack! I am happy to say I did not use over any of this and have not really givin into bad behavior either. Good thing I have an active program of recovery. Two brothers in NA passed in my area. RIP Rod E. and TC. You will be missed.
