Hi all! My mothers computer had to be serviced because of many viruses and had also been hacked.Person removed or deleted (whatever it is they do)the hard drive.Well, she has it back everything working ok,but can not install her printer. She gets a message that says "Windows can not read from the disk.might be corrupted or using a format not compatible with windows". This is the same printer she had before. What is going on???

Hi forr,

Well, from the sounds of it, the driver for the printer could be corrupted(bad) from the CD or disk they supplied, it also could be not the right driver, if they put on a different Windows operating system. One solution is to look for the driver on the Internet & download it(make sure its the right Operating system: ie..Windows XP, Windows 98,Windows 2000, etc, which is what I do alot of the time. I goto http://www.printer-drivers.com or try www.driverguide.com
