im always thinking foods made us feel bad or good

as for apples regular whole uncooked apples ive been eating more and i cant beleive how better i feel

seldom if ever have that panic in shower like i may have a heart attack -ever get that fear?

of course you should give up junk food too i guess but ive even been eating fair amount of hersheys choclolate -high fructose not too much-which is death and zero artificial sweeteners

One of the wonderful things about living in a temperate, and moderate climate is the great amount of fresh produce that is available year round. It never has to travel far from farm to table and it is something that I miss when traveling to other parts of the US. Cheerio.

You have a good point Clouds, I found myself craving a banana (potassium) after all the holiday overload on sugar & carbs. I'm diabetic so even a few bites of banana raised my blood sugar, but I feel fruit is GOOD for us versus the pumpkin pie I indulged in for Thanksgiving!

Yesterday I bought a melon, apples, orange & pear. I'm planning to cut these all up & have a few bites throughout the day. Wish I did live where fruit is fresh this time of year! Wanted to get some kiwi's....they were all wrinkled & icky!

I had fresh kale last night & bought a spaghetti squash (for those of you who are diabetic this type of squash is OK to eat).

Been having lots of salads lately also. If we go with our food cravings I think we are giving our bodies/minds what they are crying out for. We are what we eat-literally!

Hi clouds,

I like to cut a couple apples into thin slices, put sugar and cinnamon on them, and cook them in the microwave for 4-5 minutes (or till done). They are delish that way. :)

Well I live where many of the apples are grown-WA state. There's something new on the market called a grapple,it's a cross between fuji apple & concord grape. Looks like a regular fuji, smells like a grape! They are good but kinda pricey....

I am afraid these grapples are nothing more than grape flavored apples. Not sure I want them crossing grapes with apples anyway.

Anne, I agree about mixing up fruits this way.....if parents can afford these (about $1.50ea where I live), it might be a good way to get kids to eat an apple, especially if they like grape jam.

Gotta figure it beats some of the other food products out there. I fear we are doomed in the US to the future of "designer foods". Anything for a buck right?
