I received an email from the schools health office with the following in it. It turns out people were stretching things
'In an effort to dispel rumors that hundreds of students and employees
have the H1N1
influenza I would like to share with you what has actually taken place
over the past 2 weeks.
Health Services has seen over 450 patients in the past 9 working days
and we have diagnosed about 36 people presenting with symptoms that
correlate to an influenza like illness (ILI) probably H1N1. Testing has
not been performed on these patients because the Center for Disease
Control (CDC) does not recommend we do so and the test itself is not
accurate up to 70% of the time.'
