Hi all,

Because there has always been some doubt about my mini-stroke dx (It is probably correct) vs MS I'd like to ask a question here.

In the last month or so I have had such perfuse sweating (not under my arms). It is so bad my hair actually drips, the sweat runs down my back, and I sweat on my chest. My clothes become wet. I am 59 so I don't think it's menapause..that happened 10 years ago. The sweating occurs at anytime..sort of when it feels like it. I'm putting the airconditioner on when the indoor temp is 70. I have a neurologist appt in 2 weeks so I'm going to ask her about it.

Thanks for any info.

Hi Helen,

I'm having the same problem right now at 29. My husband is freezing all the time because I keep turning up the central air.

I was heat intolerant before, but the sweating is fairly new. About a month ago, I started taking my temp at random times, and found that I'm always running a low-grade fever, usually about 100F.

My doc hasn't been able to pin it down (no UTI), but gave me a script for amoxicillin. I finished it yesterday but the fevers and sweating continue. I have gynecologist and neuro appointments next week- we'll see what they have to say.

I wish I could help, Helen. I don't think that sweating is a big MS symptom, and from what I know about heart attacks and stroke it would be short-term. Start taking your temp, have a urinalysis and CBC done to rule out infection.
