Neuro Appointment Tomorrow

Hey all,

I have a neuro appointment tomorrow with a doctor at the University of Pittsburgh. My worries have gotten the best of me and I need to see him for some reassurance. My twitching has increased and I am again worrying about my hand and atrophy. I hope my Nov. 9th EMG was not done too early.

Wishing you all the luck Tony :) I have no doubt whatsoever that your visit will be unremarkable fo the worrying stuff. Something is going on, but not the nasty three letter stuff.

Take on board what the neuro says, and not the nasty little demon whispering in your ear, OK?

Considering that my symptoms have persisted for about 4 months now, don't you think I would have some worse symptoms by now if it was ALS? Wouldn't the EMG I had on November 9th caught something if it was ALS?

If it was ALS, the EMG 4 months ago would have caught it. In your head you know this. Keep your appt. tomorrow, and let your heart catch up to your head!:)

Hi Tony,
Ditto what Kylie and GaBelle have said. It is just incredibly unlikely given your EMG results, previous neuro exam and age that you have anything to worry about other than some annoying twitching. Keep us posted.
