Hi. I have been helping my daughter move out of her apartment. She has 17 days clean now, and yesterday asked someone to be her sponsor. I am exhausted, but cautiously relieved. I am so grateful for recovery because I know I do not have to worry about "saving" her. I believe that for me, my HP works through the 12 steps of the program. I believe that ANYONE can recover who IS WILLING to do the work. What a blessing that HP gave us a tool that we can use to CHANGE OUR LIVES! If I don't pick up that first "fix" and work a program, I can live life free from the bondage of active addiction. I choose to be free today. I hope that my daughter does too. Blessings to all! :D

Hello Alice,

Congratulations on yout daughters new found clean time. I wouldn't know what to do with my life without God. It's proof that people can and do change. Bondage is an excellent word as that is exactly what happens when we use.

I myself was never able to find a sponsor but I'm sure glad that yout daughter did. It will help keep her in check and she will have someone that's been through it.
