hi, i'm new here. i registered on these forums to talk with you guys and see if i can get any kind of answers or resolution.
i started having seizures around 2005, and have had 8 since then. the last episode happened this previous may, except it was different than the others. i didn't convulse, but i was fighting hard to stay conscious and had a lot of difficulty speaking as well as involuntary muscle movements. i can't do it justice with words...
since then, concentrating has been more difficult, headaches are more persistent, my vision is much worse, and (specifically during times of stress) i will have difficulty speaking, or have involuntary facial ticks. i also get numbness in my arms (usually the right, sometimes both) and will get muscle pains in my legs or back out of nowhere.
i've been to doctors and neurologists who have all told me that they don't think i have a seizure disorder, that what i described as seizures might not have actually been seizures. these doctors also knew that i didn't have health insurance (i still don't), and i wonder if they know that i can't afford to have them tell me what's actually wrong...after a lot of frustration from the doctors who could do little to nothing for me, i started researching things on my own.
when i read the symptoms and descriptions of AVM it felt like i was punched in the stomach, because i'd finally found something that seemed to fit. i'm working a lot now, and i'm trying to save up money so that i can go back to school and eventually get a job that will provide health insurance, but from what i understand this isn't something i should put off for however long that may take.
i guess i'm here to see if i might be on the right track in terms of figuring out what is actually going on. does anybody know if there are lifestyle changes or other homeopathic ways to help this sort of thing? right now that's probably the best i can do. i would sincerely appreciate any help or advice on that sort of thing. thank you in advance.
