Debbie: I am very sorry to hear the infusions did not work for you. Do these have to be done soon after you get RSD in order for them to be effective? I hope you soon find something to help you. Again, I am sorry to hear the news. What a disappointment. Regards, Lil

Lil & What- Thanks so much for your responses- No I did not get any relief to speak of...and yes and think if you do the ketamine earlier it could work better-I never had the sensitivity to touch and thats one area the Ketamine is supposed to help- I was so certain it would help me somewhat but when I "woke" up my calf was in such a tight knot (I guess from not moving) I could barely do anything- Now one week later the knot is gone but the pain is the same:( ...But I don't want to discourage anyone else from trying as a lot of people do get relief- I think the next thing I look into will be thelidamide which my doc said they are having some great results with....
Thanks again

Hey
I am from the UK and ketamine is used in a couple of RSD patients (ok. 2 that I know of including me), It is a low oral dose given 3 times a day and I have been on it a year. It does work pretty well - my pain is still a 9 and still hits 10+ alot of the time, and I didn't realise how well it worked till I ran out and had to come off it for a week - my pain was soo bad!! just a shame that it doesn't "cure" it. I have ofund that it helped my alloydinia - it is still there, but I can now wear my splints for abit and can wear socks, trousers and jumpers which I couldn't have done before ketamine.
I'm really sorry it didn't work for you Debbi, have you tried medazzolan?
hope things improve!!
