Hi Abby,
You did a good job of finding an article and picture that shows the manifestations of dystonia. I am sorry that you have to live with this. Did you find anything to help the spasms other than "a drink of wine" mentioned in the article?
Best to you,
ANN

Not really Ann and I can't drink because of the MS can you imagine this with MS/Emphasema/heart disease/chronic fatigue and fibro/ and NICO
I'm glad she was on the show as I had not had anything to compare this with.
And xanax can cause this disease

Abby, I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this terrible disease. Does it affect you as horribly as the woman in the picture?
Have you considered getting Botox injections as a treatment? It seems like this may be an effective therapy...

Why do you think that you can't drink because of MS? I drink a glass of red wine every night with my meal and am none the worse for wear.

Drink a glass of wine before you go to bed. Then you don't have to worry about falling down.

Abby, if you're getting along without alcohol, why add it to the mix? The more substances you take in, the more complicated the interactions among them are going to be.
Alcohol messes with the central nervous system. MS is a central nervous system disorder. I don't want to take too much stuff that does anything to the CNS.
That's just my view, though.
