I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you referring to someone here at braintalk, or is it someone in your personal life? Cheerio.

Not specifically, not but I have felt used and manipulated (and vexed) many times before at BT and in the outside world. They may use you as a crutch until they're healed (so to speak) or cry out for help publicly, on a blog or otherwise and then not even say thanks when you do offer a hand of friendship or support. I've had that happen several times here, although not recently, what these people really want is attention but only from certain people.

I have people who contribute to my depression but only if I allow them too, family members who I don't get along with, friends who take more than they give and co-workers who are only kind if they need something. Unfortunately, this is common in our world and I think when it comes right down to it, most people only have a handful of friends they can REALLY count on and of course, family. If you have more than that, you should consider yourself very fortunate.

Sorry you are feeling manipulated but like Tootsie and Boopers above, I had a hard time following exactly what it is you were trying to get at, could be brainfog though!:o

I know what your saying, Matuboo. I've often been refurred to as the shoulder anyone to cry on, but I find it hard to cry on someone elses shoulder. They tell me it's so unlike me.
