I thought it would be a good idea if we could all post pictures of ourselves, to see the person behind the screen.
Your turn! :D

You're very pretty, Nicki! My chair that my mate gave me for boccia is like your one in the last picture, except it has one wheel at the front not two. And it has a footplate which your feet slip into.

Unfortunately I only have pictures of me standing... some day I'll have a nice chair like Nic's!

How do you post pictures??? I really want to post a picture but can't figure out how. I tried something and it didn't work so I had to delete the entire post. Sometimes computers just drive me nuts.

upload the picture to a site like www.photobucket.com then get the URL and paste it in between image tags. You can click on the picture of the mountain in between the "insert link" and "quote" buttons in the quick reply box and just paste your URL in there.

Awesome! It worked! What surgery did you have in July?

I had two femural osteotomies and two tibial osteotomies and a right fibula osteotomies. When I would stand straight, my knees would turn inward and my feet would turn outward. So my bones were really misaligned and this was causing major knee pain when I walked. So after a year and a half of debating what to do, we decided to let my ortho do the realignment surgery. Quite the experience!!! Five bone were totally cut and realigned and I have four plates and twenty three pins. I'm not sure if I would have done it if I had known how much it would hurt with the pain and the muscle spasms.
The good news is that it worked, it took the knee problem away and four months after the surgery I started walking at school again, something I hadn't done in 2 years.

This is one of me in my uniform in the first year (bit crummy as I was waiting for botox, but never mind - I don't seem to have any more recent decent ones).

This is my son Patrick (4 y.o, spastic diplegia, hydrocephalus with a VP shunt)with his Aunt.
I think that posting these pictures is a really good idea. I really like seeing the faces behind the names. Although I don't post very much, I check this site daily and I have learned an awful lot about how to help Patrick deal with his CP. Thanks to everyone who posts.

When I scan in pics, how do I get them to come out smaller? Believe it or not the one of me sitting actually came out bigger than these!

BB - when you are looking at the first page of your photobucket account (right after you are logged in) click uploading options (right under the blue framed imput field where you select your picture to be uploaded) and select the "Message Board ( 640 x 480 )" choice. :) Then upload your pic.

Michelle,
Thanks. I'll try that.

I guess it's just going to take some practice with the pics. I had to choose some very small sizes in order for the first one to fit. I choose a small size for the one at the Fair, but it still came out huge. The avatatar one was too small and you can't even see my face. Am I doing something wrong at the PhotoBucket site?
