Seizures can be a sign of many, many things ... reaction to drugs, a blow to the head, on and on. They can also be caused by a brain tumor.
My opinion (for what that's worth :o) is that if a brain tumor caused a seizure, they would continue until the tumor was treated/removed.

Hi
I have had what has been diagnosed today as partial sensory seizures for the last two years with them getting worse in the last few months. A MRI showed a probable haemangioma of about 3mm. I have altered sensation and reflexes also. I'm about to start Carbamezepine.
A haemangioma is like the strawberry birthmarks you sometimes see. It is benign. Sometimes they will treat surgically but mine is too deep in the brain. The Neurosurgeon expects the numbness will improve with time. I will have another MRI in a year, to track progress.

Just thought I should add here that a cavernous haemangioma is not cancer - it is benign so wouldn't be classed as cancer.
I agree that if cancer caused seizures, you would continue to have problems until it was treated.

And a BENIGN tumor or any such thing in the brain can cause seizures. Having seizures does not indicate brain cancer. They indicate, even demand, that tests like MRI are given as quickly as possible.

Agreed. Have to write something else because apparently my message is too short!
