Thanks for your message. I was away for a while over the holidays so am just getting back to you. First off, congratulations on your good news regarding how well you are doing now. That is great news and am glad you do not need another blood patch at this point. I am also glad you have a good doctor to work with.

I am struggling still. I am still having leakage into my ears and cannot seem to get a diagnosis. I can't even get any doctor to really take this seriously because I cannot prove I have a leak - even though I know I am leaking. On top of it, what I am finding is that locally at least the doctors have not really heard of or dealt with low-flow or intermittent CSF leaks. The doctors sort of think of them as something very rare or almost thoretical. In actuality, however, from my research on the internet these low-flow leaks are very common. I think I may have to seek out a doctor outside of where I live. I'm just very frustrated and depressed (and scared too) and wish this thing would just heal so I would not have to bother with docs anymore. I've about had it with doctors and our so-called "modern" medicine! Well, thanks for listening. Hope you had a Merry Christmas.
