Just wanted to wish you and your family a Happy Holiday Season and all the best for the year ahead - may it be filled with good health!

Also wanted to share a little something I just whipped up... well it gave me a bit of a laugh!



Celebrations are in motion
Another year comes to an end
And yet I’m still here chanting
“Why won’t my dura mend!”

For this year has been eventful
MRIs, CTs and more
And don’t forget the blood patch
Geez, they make you sore!

Bed rest, caffeine, water
Yeah I’ve done it all
And yet my leak is hanging on
It makes me want to bawl!

For my year was spent flat in bed
Looking at the ceiling
Wishing with all my might
Please - just start the healing!

For you can never tell
When that pain will hit
Sometimes out of nowhere
Control it? Not a bit!

For there is not much to do
When you can’t be upright
No time to even wash my hair
Gee, I look a fright!

So, a full year later
I’m sick of feeling sick
Look out 2007,
Leak – you’re getting the flick!

And so I wish for good health
For you all and for me
For we have suffered together
Comrades we’ll always be.
