Hi all. I need your opions.
Some of you may remember the miraculous "healing" i've experienced thru B12 after several years of suffering, puzzled and stumped Neuros, too many roll eyes.
I was wrongly diagnosed as Panic attack, ER dr refusing to order simple blood work, would have found the panic was due to losing 2/3 of my blood from an intestinal anuerism (actually an AVM). 2 weeks later different doc ordered bloodwork....found out my hemaglobin was 5.1 hgb...hematcrit was 15%.
Thats dangerous~deadly low! Panic attack! Oh yeah....and the chest pains I kept having was not panic...
I was ready to die! Stupid doc! 4 years later, same doc, same ER dx my very bad head ache/stabbingeye pain wrong again...said nothing wrong.
MRI showed nothing wrong on that side....had the MRI backwards....had done this entire day to others as well...feeding MRI machine wrong way. Was told this is impossible...but DUH! It was that day....made 8"oclock news after causing a death at that ER because of this.
When ENT got it....saw massive sinus infection! Couldn't understand why the radiologist stated normal MRI, when it was clearly a huge infection....the cause for my stabbing eye pain. Probably too big to see!
Thats why I refuse to go there again....only place my insurance approves except the teaching hospital....another horrid place! You'd think Motorola Corp would offer better health insurance for their top engineers!
My faith in the medical community is 100% gone! You can understand why I feel this way...
I haven't told about the other ordeals that nearly killed me. I was too ill to fight with a law suite, I'd surely have won.

Yesterday I experienced what I felt was a stroke.
Since Friday I've been taking this liquid form of vitamins...from warehouse "Stuff Mart" stores.
I've written about my ordeal with Charlie horses whenever I have any type glucose IV's (25 blood transfusions during this 2 year AVM ordeal) plus numerous hospital stays for Crohns problems. Was told by nurses and doctors they've never seen this before...but you could actually watch my muscle knot up, leaving a deep 2" indendtation in my leg when it was cramping into very hard knots. It was intensly painful...near screamingly painful. Nothing helped.
I'm missing several feet of small intestines and have a partial bowel obstruction needing repaird...scar tissue from past bowel resections.
I really feel most of my issues are tied to vitamin and mineral deficiancies.
On Saturday my body began having increasing amounts of muscle twitching.
Years ago these were diagnosed as Benign Musle Fistulations.
Then I began having moderate level of Peripheral Neuropathy....burning face, lips, hands, feet, trunk.
EMG & NC testing states moderate sock glove pattern.
Never mentioning my B12 level of 232 being bordered as low. despte my asking if this was anyway connected to my history of gastro problems.
Anyway....I began taking Methyl B12 after finding this wonderful web site here (Braintalk!)
Rose helped and guided me, within days began to feel much better first time in years. I'd been 100% bedridden during this, too fatigued to function. I suffered needlessly for years....I felt I was near close to dying then...my spine was hurting with shock like feelings shooting down whenever I moved my head a certain way.

On Sunday, the twitching went well into my trunk area, legs muscles twitching non stop...firing off about 2 per second.
I kept having mild charlie horses on the bigger muscles.
I was mildly nauseated, so I only ate a few bites along with my vitamins that morning.
Around 4PM....I began to feel confused and "foggy".
Twitching increased, I felt compeled to move all my limbs....felt as if I was going to have a seizure.
My limbs almost jumped on their own.
I couldn't keep my eyes from jumping. It was the oddest feeling I've ever felt. It was like my body was being shocked and electriciy surging thru me.
I lost all sense of balance...couldn't even stand up it was that bad.
My thinking was extremly foggy and I couldn't talk a clear sentence.
My husband just stood there not knowing what to do. He could see something was going terribly wrong with me right then.
Over the last few months I've also been feeling tiny "bee stings" everywhere.
Always have to rub the spot where they come up...doesn't help..but I can't help it.
At 6PM i started vomiting my empty stomach so it was just bile (I hadn't eaten all day, something I'm used to doing because of constant naseua)...water pouring out my mouth I was drueling so much....like a water faucet turned on in my mouth.
After the 10 minute "vomitting session" was over, I went back to bed.
By 7PM, I felt much better....twitching down to just mild.
By 8 PM I ate dinner, watched a movie and was back to my usual self.
Odd isn't this?
I will NOT go to a doctor. I refuse to experience the roll eyes ever again!
So please don't suggest I go cuz I won't! I've had too many neg visits and I'm sick of it.

Do any of you think this was a "plaque" from B12 getting loose, firing in my brain somewhere?
A mini stroke? (My BP has been 190/85 for 3+ months now, when I say something about it being so high, the doc just shrugs shoulders)
Could this have been a stroke from high BP?
What is this body twitching ordeal from...connection with the vitamins?
Could this be B12 repairs?
This was very scarey when it was happening.
Today I am just having mild muscle twitching....one every second, mostly my outer limbs.....only a few in my trunk and face (about 1 every 30 seconds) The twitching about 80% gone, balance is normal, foggy thinking lifted.
I do have those stinging spots firing off though.
What do you guys think?
Thanks, cheryl
PS...like I wrote above....I will NOT go to the doctor or ER. I'm just sick of the ways I've been treated....like I was making all this up despite being able to see with your own eyes my muscles twitching.

If you won't go seek medical help there is nothing I can think of to do. If you ARE having mini-stroke episodes, it will probably lead to a big stroke. My Mom had one of those and trust me, you don't want to have one. If you think you have problems now, just wait. I'd seek medical help immediately if it were me.

If you haven't got a PCP & a neuro who don't 'roll thier eyes',
you have to find some others. Time to switch docs asap.
You can't ignore symptoms of a major medical issue like a stroke, even a 'mini' one.
Good docs are hard to find, but they are out there.
Having to go to the ER for a major issue, or even a minor one -
is no replacement for your own trusted medical help.
You need to find docs who will treat you and your problems with
empathy & compassion.
Ones who are familiar with treating PN
(and any other problems you may have)

roulette? What all is cropping up, is well, it could be well into the NOT GOOD categroy. Since you don't seem to have found any doc you can 'click' with....Well pick the least offensive of the lot - call see if you can be squished in [granted this is a baad time of year for such] and GO!!! GO!! Your DH, Kids and critters need YOU! So if not for yourself, do it for them. W/this least noxious doc, ask, I'm not getting anywhere w/the other docs I'm seeing, and things are getting worse, soo...Do YOU have any ideas? Bet that doc will!
ER Docs are the choice of very LAST RESORT for folks like us with multiple med issues. Their role is to diagnose at the most basic level, patch and push out the door! My experience w/hospital neuros on call has NOT been good at all so, you gotta ask, ASK, and then ASK!! You, good person cannot allow yourself to be shunted from pillar to post. There are 'things' going on....many of 'em.
Talk to your insurance co maybe, about you possibly going outside network for diagnoses and treatments, as the 'plan's' docs have been, essentially useless. I am willing to bet, that they mite just cooperate...IF YOU GET SOME CREDIBLE NAMES... They may want to keep their 'costs' down, but at the same time, they might keep the overall costs lower if you get an accurate diagnosis, then treatment.
I hope you get this, then burn up the phone lines! Keep us all up to date on the blow-by-blows as well. I know you are a strong person with an iron will. That will has been getting a bit 'rusty' from all the pain and uncertainty lately.
Put that crustry self in action!
We all here care. We want you to get 'there' wherever THAT is...
We all, tho I speak for myself only...do NOT want the alternatives to happen to you....so, good person. PHONE AWAY! Heaps of hugs in the meantime! -j

I gotta luv all of you....I feel so cared for here.
Somethings really going on with my PN big time.
Today my skin is burning over my entire body...even my eyes are burning like I'd been in smokey room.
Just the slightest touch on my cheek is bothersome/painful somewhat.
My lips are back to burning too.
My feet and hands are slightly numb.
The muscle twitching continues to bother me altho its not as bad as it was on Sunday.
Maybe this is part of the body repairing after being B12 def for so long.
But this is weird it spreading over my entire body within hours.
I wonder how our bitterly cold weather is effecting this...but our home is toasty warm and I've not gotten too cold when I went out yesterday for shopping. I've got lots of energy right now...but I took extra Prednisone by accident yesterday...gosh that stuff is sheer speed!
Anyway....I'm trying to get into see a doc...he's reveiwing my health records to see if he'll take me on as a patient. I've been turned down by nearly everyone on my insurance list....Didn't know they won't touch a person with a 10 foot pole if they're under pain managment.
I've been told this borders on addiction....well duh! What do you do when you're having horrible pain from multiple factors? Addicted....probably, but only because I'm in pain....do not enjoy feeling stoned and lethargic...got better ways to feel better such as getting a runners high like I used to.
Gone are those days!
Hope you'all aren't as stressed as I am....Got to keep in mind what this season is all about! Not junk under a plant! But with grandmonkies....and love to spoil them...its hard not to hold back.
Blessings, cheryl
PS...I promise...if I have another episode like I did on Sunday, I'll have hubby drive the 45 min drive to the ER and have myself checked out.
Today he's going to the ENT for more treatments on his mouth tumor...its grown back again...fast growing. Poor hubby is terrified the cancer will return again as it has many times....virtual nightmare for him. Today they're going to inject it with more steriods. This is in a radiated hard scar tissue. Very, very painful to him. So I'll load him up with pain meds and a Xanex an hour prior to this "procedure" today....poor guy.
Oh...why is Xanex spelled this way and not Zanex like it sounds? Odd, huh?

As I said, ER docs aren't gonna do NOTTING!

Call yer bestest doc NOW and set things UP! Please??? Please???? Please????? - j
