Cry Tears

Hi all....Mt Hood is about 25 air miles from my hometown of Eagle Creek Oregon.
We see it out our back door.
Ever since hearing about the missing hikers, I can't help but look up at that mountain and pray for their safe return.
Thursday night we had a tremendous wind storm....winds here at our home was at least 75 mph...Mt Hood had winds of 150 mph on Thursday.
We began to have snow here on Friday....our temps dropped very low, but the skies cleared up making it much easier for the rescuers to start searching again after having to wait 3 days for this storm to blow over.
It was clear and sunny here all day today, Saturday;...but sadly the hikers have not been found.
I am very puzzeld that these men went hiking, leaving their wives and children 3 weeks before Christmas, then climed the north side of Mt Hood (Very remote and dangerous side) I'm shocked they went climbing in ORegons worst weather period....let alone did NOT take a $5 locator beacon.
Why 3 experienced men would do all that is beyond me!
No matter how foolish they were...they still need our prayers. If they aren't found by Sunday....probably will not survive.
There are numerous rescuers putting their own lives in danger right now, out there looking for them in 10* weather, avelanch threats, ice and blowing snow. There is an airplane with heat seeking devices that will be looking all night during the night.
Please pray for those who are giving themselves so unselfishly in looking for those 3 unwise guys!
I'm posting a photo taken today, Saturday, of Mt Hood....taken from Boring Oregon....just 20 miles West of MT Hood, Oregon.
Blessings to all. Cheryl

I've been watching the search for the hinkers on Fox news, a very sad story indeed. These men were certainly extremists. I can barely leave my house and to ever think of putting my self in that kind of danger is horrorifying. It's amazing how hopeful and positive the people and family talk , having such a strength of faith . Prayers

Well...yesterday they found one body...the guy who'd been left alone in the snow cave....cell phone in melted water.
Why on earth they didn't stay together.
Experienced hikers? It's very evident now, they weren't THAT experienced. They've made too many deadly mistakes.
Today we've got clear skies and sunshine, but its bitterly cold. Mt Hood is below zero and another storm coming in by Wednesday.
If they're not found by this afternoon....its evident they'll not be found till late next summer if ever.
Just pray for the rescuers who are risking their lives searching for them...only a slight chance the other 2 will be found alive. If they were alive they'd signaled the many helicoptors by now.
These are choices these men made....leaving their families and children at home just 3 weeks before Christmas.
Hiking during the dead of winter...knowing full well the weather here in Oregon can turn in just minutes.
Hiking the north side....even in summer its deadly section.
The worst part in all this...they were so foolish in passing up a $5 rental for a locator beacon....How stupid is this?
Thousands of dollars are being spent in searching for them....comes directly out of our property taxes.
I don't care how much they say it doesn't. Who pays for all the airplanes/helicoptors flying around there at this moment?
Seems to me this money could have been spent helping those who suffer health issues.
We who suffer pain, illness and declining health issues don't have a choice.
Now this is a real tradgedy! Their families will never be the same because of their foolish choices.

I am actually angry at them. Every nite I'd wake up and pray for them. I worried, even cried about their suffering cold during the night while I was safe and warm in my soft luxurious bed. I don't know why this has effected me this way. Probably because they're less than 25 miles from our home.
Please pray for those who're suffering!
