Cry Tears

Hi all....Mt Hood is about 25 air miles from my hometown of Eagle Creek Oregon.
We see it out our back door.
Ever since hearing about the missing hikers, I can't help but look up at that mountain and pray for their safe return.
Thursday night we had a tremendous wind storm....winds here at our home was at least 75 mph...Mt Hood had winds of 150 mph on Thursday.
We began to have snow here on Friday....our temps dropped very low, but the skies cleared up making it much easier for the rescuers to start searching again after having to wait 3 days for this storm to blow over.
It was clear and sunny here all day today, Saturday;...but sadly the hikers have not been found.
I am very puzzeld that these men went hiking, leaving their wives and children 3 weeks before Christmas, then climed the north side of Mt Hood (Very remote and dangerous side) I'm shocked they went climbing in ORegons worst weather period....let alone did NOT take a $5 locator beacon.
Why 3 experienced men would do all that is beyond me!
No matter how foolish they were...they still need our prayers. If they aren't found by Sunday....probably will not survive.
There are numerous rescuers putting their own lives in danger right now, out there looking for them in 10* weather, avelanch threats, ice and blowing snow. There is an airplane with heat seeking devices that will be looking all night during the night.
Please pray for those who are giving themselves so unselfishly in looking for those 3 unwise guys!
I'm posting a photo taken today, Saturday, of Mt Hood....taken from Boring Oregon....just 20 miles West of MT Hood, Oregon.
Blessings to all. Cheryl
