Effexor XR

Does anyone know anything about the shelf life of Effexor XR? There is an expiration date of one year on the bottle, which is pretty much standard for all meds. I know that some meds lose potency after 12 months but others do not.

Any info would be appreciated. Thank you very much. Valerie

I don't know about the shelf life of Effexor. I find out so much information from my pharmacist. I hope it helps you as well as it's helped me.

This medication should be fine for up to, or a bit beyond two years. Feel free to ask your pharmacist next time you get it filled. Just ask him the expiration date on the bottles on his shelf.

The loss of potency is a pretty slow process as well.
