Zoey was given a care package by our pharmacy. In it were many things pertaining to diabetes and one product I found especially interesting.
Neuragen PN. Fast relief from nerve pain. It is a liquid, ours is a tiny little sample (1.5 ml). I have used it every night for week, tiny amount goes a very long way. I put it on the area in front of my ear and a little in the area behind my ear. I used it yesterday after an episode of "holy crap, did I break a tooth or is it the TN?" Calmed it down.

Neuragen.com
Found at regular pharmacies.

I think it smells good, herbal, natural and I believe helps keep mosquitos away too!

Best of luck if you try it out.......

Great Dina, Hope it gives some relief if you try it.

I know there are lots of other places people suffer nerve pain.
Hopefully someone will get some relief.

I have to tell you....I am amazed by this product. I have been using it for over
a week and it helps. Hard to believe that an OTC product that is simply an
oil could produce this result but it is working. I take opiates and Lyrica for my
nerve pain and I have cut back on the opiates already. It has not gotten rid
of the pain but, it is dulling and softening the pain. For me, it is more of
a cumulative effect.

It cost $29.99 at my local Walgreens and I did use the $5. off coupon from the Neuragen website. I also emailed the company with questions because I was concerned about getting it too close to my eye and a Dr. from the company responded quickly.

Again, thanks for starting this thread and telling us about this.

Has anyone tried it for tooth pain? I'm curious if it would have to be placed right on the gum, or if placing it on the face would produce any relief? Are there any warnings about not ingesting it?

Sorry, I have a lot of questions.

EE03,
I just looked on the flyer I got with it and it says for external use only.

But, when this all started for me I bought Clove, liquid herbal extract at a health food store. (and clove essential oil for the mix that Crystalina makes).....the lady there said that many people buy clove to use in the mouth on sore teeth & canker sores.
My clove extract product says to put certain amounts in water and swish and the woman said to rub it on the sore area in the mouth. Good luck if you try it. PLUS, it smells great!

Diandra......:) I am absolutly thrilled someone found some relief from something, anything at all. Thank you for sharing your success. I hope it lasts and lasts. Less drugs! Whoooohooo.
I didn't know if anyone else would even try it. For my exp. I have found that just the smells of certain things distract me from the pains (present or to come). I use lavender and lemon mixed together too. Very calming. Esp. before stress, just around the ears and on the wrists starts me off with a positive feeling.
Do you like the smell of the product? I do!
Take good care and keep us posted.

I am really glad that this is working well for people, its so good to hear news about a product that works.

I just spend a small fortune on oils, the first 2 batches I made up really didnt seem to do much, they smelled the same, although they were made of totally different ingredients and one of them made me feek sick.

Then I got this recipe:

This is taken from The Fragrant Pharmacy by Valerie Anne Wormwood

Neuralgia, numbing the pain with ice often relieves the pain initially so use a cold compress or ice over the affected area, to relieve any inflamation follow by massaging with the following.

5 drops lavender
5 drops chamomile
2 drops clove

diluted in one desertspoon of vegetable oil,
if face is the area affected substitute oil of clove with 2 drops rosemary

also useful, peppermint,eucalyptas,thyme,nutmeg,marjoram,vetvie r,juniper

Now I have made up 2 batches, the first with 10 drops clove, 10 peppermint, 2 nutmeg which I really like, the second I made with 10 clove,10 peppermint, 10 lavender and 2 nutmeg, both are good but I think I prefer it without the lavender.
I know it said not to use clove, but it is working well for me,even if it is just cause it is calming to sniff but I am covered with it, on all my pressure points and directly onto my face aswell, it seems like it would work best for ATN rather than the sharps, but thankfully my ATN doesnt give me too much bother now.

I hope this might help someone so I thought I would pop it in, I'll copy it into Crystalinas thread too.

I guessed it would be external only. I got a coupon at their site and I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks to both of you for sharing :)

Stephanie,
I am getting used to the smell. It is pleasant, yet powerful. Sometimes I do get it too close to my eyes and they water quite a bit but, hey, I will take that minor issue if it continues to help. Thanks again for telling us about Neuragen.

Grace, where do you get the oils to make that "recipe"? It sounds wonderful.

EEO3....I hope the product is helpful to you.

Thanks, Diandra
