Hello,
My name is Ashley. I hope you don't mind my post! I'm new to the forum. I’m doing research on traumatic brain injury and sleep issues, specifically excessive sleepiness. I'm conducting a completely anonymous survey to learn more about daily life for those who have had a TBI, as well as to learn how those with a TBI communicate about certain issues.
I work for a health communications company that helps communicate information about clinical research studies. Right now, we're creating materials for an excessive sleepiness study for people who have had a concussion or head injury. The study will test a new medicine and conduct extensive medical testing to better evaluate excessive sleepiness.
Taking this anonymous survey does not sign you up for any study!! Don't worry! You have the option of leaving your contact information for any updates, but this is not required.
The link to the survey is here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=sFIZtzjscdykIv3AlPYbwg_3d_3d
We're doing this survey to help us understand the vocabulary people use to discuss their head injury and sleepiness, and understand what they go through every day. So by taking this survey, you're helping create more clear and easy to understand information for those who have had a TBI, rather than some pamphlet full of confusing medical jargon.
Thank you so much for your time,
Ashley Toal
