Freeway Pig Gets New Home, Job
What a couragous pig we have here in the Pacific Northwest!
VANCOUVER, Wash. - Jumping out of a truck on Interstate 205 at Vancouver may have been the best thing that ever happened to a 500-pound pig.
A pig was headed for the slaughter house but jumped from the vehicle and was rescued by motorist who called police. The state trooper then called Randy and Betty Goggin who run the "Pigs R Us" farm. They took "Freeway," as she is now called, home and notified the owners who said they could keep her.
After being treated for a sore leg and road rash, Freeway will live at the Pigs R Us farm where she will start her new job as a piglet producer.
