I have to confress to extreme laziness...I forgot my fourth generation BT password and kept trying in vain to get the email resetting it...finally I got off my duff and just created a new id today...still busy with Caroline approaching 3 months in the NICU, but I am not complaining things are going very well for her!
Ethan has been doing wonderfully these past few months. For the first month or so he was very fortunate to have a grandma on FMLA who was able to keep him most days with his grandpa and great grandparents. They did wonders for his social and language skills.
Ethan is way past due for his annual hydro followup (we are approaching three years old with his first shunt still seeming to functional well). He has an MRI etc scheduled for mid January.
With becoming three we have agonized about what to do. I think I wrote previously about a new high potential school incorporating conductive education...well it was just too expensive unfortunately. We have decided to start with what the local school system can offer and go from there....
Ethan is also due for his neurology followup but seems to still be doing good with the level of Artane he is currently on...8CCs three times a day.
He is still not the best eater but definitely loves to eat and drink for himself when possible. When Gerber decides to stop making the soft straw cup (http://www.gerber.com/prodcat?catid=566), we are in trouble. We are going to have buy him a lifetime supply before they run out!
Well thats Ethan's run down. Thanks to all who have left messages on Caroline's BLOG (http://www.ebabyphotos.com/ca/). We definitely appreciate the prayers and well wishes! She is a miracle! When I think about what people are able to do to a baby that was just a day or two younger than her I get all choked up!
