Roll Call December 11, 2006

Hello All,

Glenda actually started the roll call but it appeared in the last thread, so I'll try to see if it will accept mine.

I greet all of you who are preparing for the holidays, whatever your holiday may be. I am a bit behind this year due to the ice storm we had. The only people who remain without power are those who needed to contract for extra service to their homes. One of the nurses who cared for Mom was out for 8 days! I was lucky, only 5.

I'm hoping all are well. I know that the holidays are hard for people who have lost loved ones... it's hard for me to think of hanging one stocking. After Dad died I still had three to hang, one for me, Mom, and Molly, my dog... Now it's just me. Glenda, Come on up and I can hang another!! It's probably too late for this year, but think about next...you may even see snow on Christmas.

ROse, the area of Michigan I've gone to is along the coast of Lake Michigan, between Muskegon and Ludington... but I do have a friend in E. Lansing... that's not too far from you...

May the week ahead be gentle to us all.......

Thankyou for roll call..i did post but it went to the old post..or i am ready for a comfy bed in a nice little padded room !The week seems to go so fast...my new role as Assistant Manger is hard work...the photocopier is even harder work!! i wanted to photocopy 1 thing and the machine started spitting out copious amounts of large pieces of blank paper..i was so embarrassed !!! i tried to discreetly roll them up and tuck them up under my arms lol Goodness i hope they have insurance on their electrical equipment. It's been a long time since i've had staff to contend with,and paperwork !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well..it will take time.I am so tired...a trip over to you would be wondeful.Do you think Santa would find me ?? he might get ice burn on his legs & the kangaroos would need snow googles LOL Rose cracks me up ! it would be lovely wouldnt it for santa to ride some waves in the US..I suppose it does sound odd for you that santa wears boardshorts in Oz.I find it hard to imagine it is only 13 days till xmas.Yes it is still a difficult time for me especially the xmas carols..my mother loved watching them on tv.We are a very lrge family,6 children..23 grandchildren..9 great grandchildren yet it still feels so empty.However we give thanks for all we still have.I'm thinking this year it would be nice to volunteer xmas day to serve dinner with the Salvation Army.I think of everyone here in our family & pray the week ahead will be kind.God Bless & stay strong.Luv Glenda

Glennnda,Beeeeth, How are you both. Im here not complaining but rejoicing!! Another christmas, another year approaching. I cant wait until the new year comes in, Rose is going to Montego bay Jamaica January20-27(yea) I pray for your strength. Rose
