Does anyone have trouble swallowing so much that the foogets stuck in your throat and you cant breath. My daughter has had to the Hiemlick 2 times on me in 5 days. I knew my swallowing was getting worse but didnt think it would get this bad. To add this with my falling bad I dont know what to do?
I alwasy said no heroic means to save me but my daughter cant just set there as watch my lips turn blue. This is so awful for my family.

Hi Dana
Do you accept Personal Messages from people you don’t know? There is something that seems similar in what is happening to you and another person I know. I will look for a reply here.

Dana...I'm so sorry you're having this god-aweful problem.
I know how frightening this must be for you.
Once in awhile my food gets stuck also.,,,But I've never needed to have the Hyemlic method done as its not that stuck.
It happens in what seems in "runs" with me....Doctors said its tied with my having esophigitis on top of other issues.
At times when I have this tight feeling and cannot swallow well, I must always chase my food with water. It takes several swallowing attempts to get things down for me even when its soft foods.
My mother in law had Scelradema...she chocked often. They had to go into her esphegous and stretch things out for her. Then she'd be fine for a few months.
Mine seems to be tied with muscle weakness, stress and a tight feeling in my throat. I also have Crohns disease and digestive issues.
Dont we all just know how to have fun?!?!?!?
Blessings, cheryl

Doctor 'food processor' BUT, you really, really should call and leave a message about this new wrinkle...It may be nothing, but some complications can happen and it's FAR BETTER TO BE PROACTIVE and just call w/a 'should I be concerned?' than passive.
