Hi Everyone,

It's very amusing!
Today we went to see the epilepsy specialist for the first time and he said that these are frontal lobe partial seizures. He increased the night dose of tegretol to 400mg from 250 to start with and kept the keppra at 500 twice daily. He took bloods to get levels on both and so I feel OK about that. I just wish something would work to get rid of these things (about 15 a night now) xoDonna

LOVE the pic of NIck on the blog!! WOWZERS! He's a grown up man! Is he verbal? Jake's doesn't speak at all, but let (American) football or pro-wrestling come on and he yells and hollers at the tv! He really digs hockey too, but honestly because Mike and I neither have ever really watched it, we forget that it's on..... I really need to dvr some.

Hi Micky, No Nick is not verbal but he's an excellent communicator nevertheless. He can say yes and no and a couple of other words plus he uses a communication system (used to use a speech computer with head switches, but he can't sit very long anymore so he uses a low tech one now). His language comprehension is almost perfect. Nick LOVEs WWE wrestling too and once he got a wish foundation trip to meet STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!!! So, yes, I have met "mr. stone cold" and he was very nice. They were all wonderful, I have to say. They were so nice to us all and extremely generous. Love reading about your life and your work, Micky. Your sewing is just terrific. xoxDonna
