To get a spell check on your posts here you need to first download and install a small program called IESpell (http://www.iespell.com). You will need to install the IE Spell program and then whenever you click on the option on the upper righthand corner with the ABC and checkmark, you will be able to spell check your posts before you submit them. :)

When you click on this ABC Checkmark and do not have IE Spell installed it will prompt you like this screenshot below shows, and you can download and install the small program to run your own spell checks on your replies to threads. On any VB board you can click on that SBC Checkmark and it will trigger the spell check once you've installed IE Spell. :)

I hope this was helpful to people looking for a spell check to use on the board. :)

For those of us using FF/safari, vb.com hasn't gotten a tool intergrated into the software YET. We have been begging and pleading for over a year but they haven't successfully intergrated one into JelSoft's vb software that works with FF and Safari browsers. Liz

Yup, as the name implies it only works with Internet Explorer. I don't know of any Spell Checker that works on FireFox or Safari. :)

I'd rather use a word processor, then paste into the message box here than use IE....:(

I will wait 'till Mozilla has one for its browsers.

It would be nice if VBB had an auto spell checker, you think they would have added one by now (With version 3.8.1 being out)

1 site im on has an integrated SPELL CHECKER! (Not VBB)

I've been using Firefox since it was introduced. When the 2.0 version was released, Spellcheck was added. There's infomation about the 2.0 version under Features in the Firefox release notes (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/2.0/releasenotes/). Click on Products at the top, then Features at the right, and it tells about it in the 3.0 versions under Productivity, near the bottom of the page.
