I think it's simply a matter of 'build it and they will come' on this one. I don't think price is a red flag though, do you? There are lots of alternative therapies for cancer that cost a lot, and the price alone is not a red flag. I would be more worried about the son with a bachelor's degree helping, I would question his role most.

Hmmm..I'd question the fact that the dad is a geneticist and non-practicing physician, the fees are $5000/month for the stuff (not a one-time-only treatment), the side-effects of the drug are horrific, and the fact that the drug has not been proven effective in treating this condition.

But that is just me...

I had the same red flag jump up: that he claimed the issue was precocious puberty...well then, it should be pretty obvious who would benefit from the treatment and who wouldn't. And it seems if he's right then most, or at least many, autistics would also manifest precocious puberty. Not exactly a hallmark of autism that gets a lot of press.

Now, it's true some forms of autism co-exist with seizure disorders, and some anticonvulsant medications trigger signs of precocious puberty. .
