How about if those who still want to vent about John Lester and the mods do so at BT2? Although I understand that DocJohn and his mods feel the venting has run its course there, too, and want people to move on to constructive posting. But the point is, if anyone (including John Lester) wants to read vents, there are plenty of them on BT2 from its early days.

Constructive criticism has a place here on the original BT, IMV, as we all want to see this place be as good as it can be (even if we're not in agreement on exactly what could be improved)...but only if it's courteous, respectful and not endlessly repetitive.

I think you are right in that everyone deserves the opportunity to share their concerns once. While I understand that JL is busy getting things up and running here, and that should be the priority, what may be lacking is that he hasn't said something like (correct me if I'm wrong), " My priority right now is getting the system up and running, and attending to my other life obligations, but I will listen to and respond to your concerns (complaints) eventually." People tend to keep repeating themselves when they feel nobody is listening. I think at some point it is time to rest the case, and I think in most cases here we've passed that point.

I would suggest people NOT take their complaints back to BT2, but just agree to rest their case.

The point I was trying to make is that it's all been said before, if not here, then there. If JL and the mods want to go read any of it (assuming they haven't already), they know where BT2 is.

What's left to do now is wait for a response to the questions/issues that have been raised, and go from there...hopefully in a positive direction.

There seemed to be pent up frustration when some people finally came together at BT2. But personally, I think it was a very good thing for OBT, that there WAS a place for people to meet and vent (or I suggest there'd be MUCH more of it going on here now.)

I think most people (like me) are just happy to have this board back up again, but if there are some unresolved issues, THIS is definitely the more appropriate place to vent them (if anywhere).

If you had read my second post, Sally, right after Cara's, you would have seen that that was not what I was proposing in a literal sense. The point is that it's been there, copiously and publicly, already; so there's no useful purpose served by continuing it here. BT2 is moving on, and BT1 needs to do so too.
