Hi everyone. Just in case you haven't seen George from Greece has posted in the sticky at the top of the page....
Here is a copy of his post...
Hello everybody!
I will be in Swiss on June 15th and then I will have, in the hospital, MRI,CTA and Angiography Test with balloon occlusion of my unruptured giant (30mm) fusiform annie on left MCA. In case the test (2nd after a similar on Dec.2008) shows that the collateral blood circulation is fully developed, then at the same time with the angiography an endovascular treatment with balloon occlusion of the artery is gonna take place (probably around June 17th). Otherwise, I may leave the hospital in order to be back after a few months or have the endovascular treatment together with a bypass craniotomy. We'll see...
Trying to deal with my anxiety

George, I will be thinking about you and praying for you. I know the anxiety leading up to the surgery is hard. Just take deep breaths and take one day at a time. Take care, Shelly

We are walking every step of the way with you, holding your hand through this journey. Your anxiety is understandable, but try to live for today. Try to find the beauty and wonder in all that is around you. As always, I'm here if you ever need to talk. Have faith!

Hi George!
I'm so glad you have your date set for your procedures/surgery in Switzerland. I know you must be nervous but by now you know that we are all with you in spirit! I'm preparing for my clipping surgery next week so I am familiar with the anxiety and fear that waiting brings. I am sure you will be in excellent hands. Sounds like you really did your homework in getting everything set up. Just try to relax, take deep breaths and enjoy each day with your family. June 15th will be here soon enough! :)
I will be praying for you!

Hey to everybody!
I am so impressed by your concern about my case. Thanx all a lot:)
Now, let me inform you about my new procedure; I had been in Swiss hospital since Monday and done the MRI and afterwards the angiography. Both showed that the collateral blood circulation had increased to a rate of 80-85% of the full one BUT also the anaurysm has developed for 28-30mm to ~33mm. This leads the Prof. Neuroradiolody to postpone the blood occlusion treatment and to deliver me next week to the Prof. Neurosurgery for a bypass (craniotomy is necessary now) and a possible clipping from him (otherwise, instead of clipping, a balloon occlusion).
This treatment leads to my hospital stayment ten days after surgery-quite a lot time...
Hoping that the wifi internet access is a valid one, I will send you all my news and my love.
Best regards
George

George,
How great that you have more of the facts, it makes decisions easier to make. Ten days in the hospital is a long time, but my sister encouraged me to look at my hospital stay as a mini spa vacation. It worked (sometimes ;) ) You are in my prayers.

Dear friends
I am really sorry to post this message in the community. Unfortunately George isn't with us any more. He passed away on the 22nd of June in the Zurich hospital, following a devastating haemorrhage while in the hotel waiting for the operation date. We all miss him very much. Following his request I post this message to you. He found companionship from all and I am sure he would want me to wish you all the best of luck.
