A question for anyone.
I've had this odd rapid eye movement for years....can't remember when it started. But when I try to focus on something my eyes move rapidly from side to side....almost like a seizure....I cannot focus on anything till this stops. It only last a second or more. I asked an eye doc several years ago, he said "I dunno!" Its gotten worse lately....which I find really odd.
Could this be tied to a B12 def?
Could this be neurological in nature?
I rarely have headaches, but I must wear corrective lenses.
Thanks, cheryl

Is what it is called... it can be connected to the inner ear. So if you have ear
problems, this is a sign of it.

It can also be neuro.

The flutist James Galway... has this if you have ever seen him perform.

If your eyes are moving it may be a form of nystagmus. http://www.emedicine.com/oph/topic339.htm

Certainly worsening symptoms is a cause for concern. Please see a neuroophthalmologist and an ENT doc.

Are you on any medication that can cause nystagmus? Antiseizure meds are one group that can do this.

Nystagmus can be caused by B12 deficiency. It is not common, but sometimes is.

Neurological, yes.
