I wrote in on the vitamin deficiency forum about my sister having so much trouble with RLS and decided to follow up here. She was getting very little sleep after over two years of severe RLS. On yet another visit to the doctor or sleep clinic, a nurse practitioner prescribed Klonopin and Ambien and that night she slept for 8 hours for the first time in a long time. She had tried Requip and Mirapex before but could not tolerate them. She had also tried Klonopin alone but it was marginal at best. She called me to say she had slept and was very grateful that the NP had listened to her and recognized that she had deteriorated over time. A serious lack of sleep is devastating. I hope the effect of this combination lasts for her. Perhaps someone else can benefit from knowing that this combination worked for my sister. (She is 77.)
