got my dates for coilin today

hi guys got my letter this morning
havin coiling of 5 mm annie on my left interal cortid artery on 24th june 2009
i,m a little nervse but will be glad when its over.
the waitin is the worse bit i think ...

That's great news that you have confirmation of your coiling procedure. I think it is completely natural to be nervous. There are alot of fantastic people on here, so if you have any questions, or just need to vent, we are all here for you.

I am right there with you waiting for my procedure the NS is supposed to call in the next 2 days and try to get me in the last part of May or early part of June and that is for the crainiotomy part.

Then 3 weeks after that they are doing a coiling on the other one that is on my carotid artery on the left side.

I can tell you I know how hard the wait is but soon it will be time and all this will be behind both of us. Hang in there and talk all you need to if you feel you are just getting to stressed. We are all right here for you.

The waiting is really hard....but try to stay relaxed and not freak yourself out! We have all done the 'what if's'.....but it's out of your hands now, have faith and try to roll with it! Best of luck to you...we're all here when you need us! (Good luck to you too LaDawn!)

That is great that you will be getting this thing fixed up! I will be getting my Right MCA annie clipped 4 days after you so I understand the nervousness and anxiety of this whole thing. :eek:

Hang in there and keep us posted with any questions you may have, or you just need a shoulder to vent on. We are all here for each other! ;)

Oh I am so happy for you! Coiling!

It's the easiest of the procedures ~ I think ~ but no less intimidating.

I had such an easy time to recover with respect to Coiling & Stent and I so admire
the folks who go thru the Clipping instead.

It's not always a matter of choice though... I couldn't be Clipped for example and some can not be Coiled.

Then there's those brave folks who have both.

Still all in all it's an amazing medical world we live in ~ and I am so thankful that they can even do either procedure.

The time will fly ~ it will drag too ~ it does both which can be hugely annoying!!!

So fill up your days setting up your nest ~ getting ready for a week or a bit more off ~ and do all the fun things you can in the meantime!

Tell us all about your adventure as the day approaches because we are here to support you and learn too!
