German police said an elderly man was so annoyed at hearing the same serenade over and over that he called authorities to report his neighbors _ only to discover the culprit was a musical greeting card on his own windowsill. Police said Tuesday the 82-year-old from Goslar in central Germany told officers he was sick of the music, which would come at irregular intervals and at all hours.

Upon further investigation, police found the musical greeting card on his windowsill, where occasional breezes opened the card just enough to play an irritating tune.

Police said the retiree was happy to find out his neighbors weren't trying to annoy him.

I can just imagine this old guy getting increasingly more p!ssed off, and thinking it was his neighbors intentionally trying to annoy him, lol, only in nt land!

One time, I heard strange noises downstairs in our home. I was so sleep deprived, but was sure I heard someone downstairs. I called the cops. While describing the noises I was hearing, I realized the 'intruder' was taking a shower...it was my husband, I'd totally forgotten he was home. Guess you could say only in Mili land, aye? Can you imagine how embarrassed I was? No one can understand someone being that forgetful - I can't understand it and it's my own brain!

thats funny... those cards can drive you crazy.

Dh got a grim reaper balloon once for a birthday, that would not die. The thing was so creepy! I guess body heat or whatever, made it follow dh around the house all the time, lasted a good 7 weeks..really bizzaro.
