Hello everyone,
I see that not many posts are recent so hopefully most of you are feeling better! But in the case that there are still some people around, I would very much appreciate some advice. I had an MRI of my spine a few months ago to look for a CSF leak because I have been having TERRIBLE unexplained headaches ever since my surgery for a pituitary tumor and subsequent lumbar drain.
They told me the MRI was normal but when I got ahold of the reports, there is a repeated finding on 2 seperate occasions of a syrinx at t12. This may be the area of the lumbar puncture and drain. If so, can this have caused the syrinx to develop?
Also, I dont have have a chiari malformation diagnosed but I understand that the two somehow are connected but not always. Ive been having trouble finding someone with a syrinx but no ACM. Is anyone in my boat there?
Also, I have done much research about typical symptoms and mine seem to fit with a few differences: First and most grevious is my headeache. It does okay laying down but if I sneeze, cough, blow my nose, bend over or even if someone hits me in the stomach my head feels immensely worse. I also get incredibly nauseated durign these headaches and getting in the car makes things much worse as well.
I get pain in my back and sometimes down my legs but mostly am just worried about my head.
Just wondering if anyone else is in this position or thinks this sounds similar to someone they know.I am scared, in pain, and do not know what to do.
Thank you
