thought it would get more coverage....

I have a delightful home infusion nurse....what kind of present would be most useful...one off the calendar as they say? I was thinking of Mickey D's gift certificates as she likes the 'honey buns' but - do you guys have other options? Rite now it's MD's or a steakhouse certif.

Next question then is: How Much$?

any input is welcome.. Thanks folks. You know we have to show we appreciate these folks who take care of us. Question is HOW do we best show it? - j

How much do you know about her own activities, hobbies, likes, dislikes?

How much money you spend depends on your own budget. It should not be so much that she would feel guilty about depriving you of something that would be of use, or benefit, to your own daily challenges.

A plant or holiday arrangement from the local florist? (Not good if allergies are a problem.)

A CD of her favorite music? Holiday music on a CD?

Tickets(2) to a local ice show, theater, concert?

Gift certificate to the local department store?

Gift certificate to a reputable catalog house? I like Land's End or L.L. Bean.

Cheerio.

Hi Dahlek,

Tootsie gave some excellent ideas. I just wanted to say this is very thoughful of you and we should all think about that person or persons who make our lives a little easier. I'm sure a simple gift to say that we appreciate them would really make them feel good.
Take care everyone,
Linda :)

Thanks to you both.

She likes to read mysteries and there's a second hand book store nearby where I could get her a 'credit'. That way she could 'trade in' books for others fairly cheaply. Her other weak point is McD's honey buns so gift certificates could be useable.

Home nurses are often taken for granted, and ANY infusion or specialty nurses of skill are, in my book, underappreciated for their treatments to/of/for us. We really don't and probably couldn't do the long day's travelling they do.

I'm thinking on it and will let you all know what I end up doing!

Happy Stress-free Holiday Times to all! - j
