Hello family, I'm here present and accounted for!(rose). Formally Mariaismom,Mariadoffspring and many more! I havent been able to log in for quite sometime, therefore i created a new username. Glenda, AnneRn where are you all. I have viewed the sight over the last year and the sight is very quiet compared to how full of life it once was. I can remember we God lead me to Jandel. I was scared,depressed and eager to learn about this dreadful disease.Jan,Bob were there to calm my nerves(lol) They kept us all going (right Glenda) After they flew away to meet the lord others stepped right up to carry on the business of PSP! My mother passed away April 21,2006 (a victim of PSP) I am going through my grieving process but now i can smile a little bit knowing she is FREE from the dreadful PSP! Stay stong pwpsp . Love to all older members and the newer members,Peace Be Unto You, Rose,Maria Dawson's only daughter.

Please Accept My Condolences On Loss Of Your Mum... I Agree That To Be Free From Psp Is One Big Advantage Of Death For Our Loved Ones....

This Place Was Indeed Alive When Jan, Bob And Many Others Were Active Here... The Psp Family Grew On Strength Of Sharing Information On Psp As Well As The Exchange Of Emotions And Thoughts... I Am Certain That This Place Will Once Again Fill Up Now That This Website Is Up And Running...

Rose I am so sorry to read about your dear Mums passing, but as you say, she is now free from PSP. That knowledge will give you some peace.

I have missed coming here. So much has been happenning and I havent been able to share with my friends !

I hope it isnt long before our other friends discover that the forum is up and running again. And also before we have some new friends. Although their reasons for coming here are sad ones, we like many others will be able to understand what they are going through and hopefully be able to help them, just as Jandel and BobBoston helped us.

Sanjay thankyou for the email i have sent it on to those who i have email address for...i know Beth is on holidays overseas so she will be thrilled when she gets back..Chris has just got back on line so that is good timing. This is Loraine; I am here. I am glad are back finally, after being down for almost three months. I have been hanging out at the Society for PSP Forum http://forum.psp.org/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=1.

My mother is off hospice - I think she is just not dying quickly enough for them. As a result she is back in a wheelchair instead of a reclining gerry chair. She was actually seen wheeling her chair about 10 feet down the hallway last week - incredible since I haven't seen her move anything but her right arm since January. She was also heard singing. I haven't heard her speaking voice since the beginning of the summer although she does mouth words. An odd burst of activity from my mom!

Having read the lovely messages from Roase, Glenda, Sally and Loraine.... it is great to note that the participation is on increase here...

I am sure there are many who are veiwing this page but are unsure whether to join inor not... I am writing to explain for them....

We are a group of Individuals who have dealt are are currently dealing with PSP affecting our loved ones.... We are here to assist in the care of PSP Patients by sharing our experiences and to help family members cope with PSP as it is an extremely demanding illness to deal with... Mentally as well as Physically....

All new comers are welcome to PSP FAMILY where in you can log your queries to which someone will respond... If you are lucky enough, you may also be able to contact someone near to where you live...

This family has been built on trust, love and need to support all those who face PSP.... Please feel free to join us......

As Glenda mentioned, I am back on line with a new computer after a long time without. It is so good to be back...we can't see each other but it feels like a reunion! Rose, I am sorry about your Mom, but know that she is at peace. It is so hard.... Sanjay, Sally, Loraine, and Glenda--yea! Beth and I both live in St. Louis and are looking forward to Glenda's visit. You can bet the hugs will be heard around the world. I sure hope this forum grows again, John has put so much effort into it. I know other folks have gone to the PSP society's forum, annd it is good. However we had a great thing going and so many are ready to offer their experience and advice. Keep posting! Chris
