Hey everybody, thank you bunches. Just got back from a birthday dinner at Mongolian Barbecue which we love and is a treat cause it is expensive though I belong to their club so I got a coupon for a free birthday meal and desert. We took my oldest and his girlfriend and shortcake went back for thirds!!!! Unfortunately they made a gigantic aluminum foil birthday hat for me to wear and the cooks sang their rendition of Happy Birthday but it was a lot of fun.

I will admit that I am a bit spoiled cause I got a new Nintendo DSi though I traded in my old DS towards it for seventy dollars off and my mom bought me the Wii Fit so I can work out on it and try to get some exercise. It is quite a bit of fun. Shortcake works out with me which helps spur me on because he of course is a bit better at it than I am lol. Mom also gave me a hundred dollars which she once again made me promise I would spend on myself. She knows that when I get spending money as a gift I have a tendency to spend it on others or the house.

Well it has been a long day and I am full and tired. Thank you all bunches for the wishes.

christine i know how your mom feels. so much so that i am hanging onto the $100 money that was my gift from my daughter. surely as the sun will rise again, i know she will fall short in the cash department & will need that money for herself. she tends to do the same thing as you do, buy for everyone else 1st before buying for herself.

it has gotten so bad her daughter will tell her to not show up in things wearing her husband's old shirts. that's pretty bad when a 9 year old can figure out mom puts other's 1st as well, LOL.

so do as your mother says, spend it on yourself ;)
