Hi all,

When I am walking around doing things I feel ok. As soon as I sit for longer than 5 or 10 minutes I can't get back up! I walk like I'm 100 years old and everything starts cracking...:(

What is this? After being up for a little bit again I'm ok but, it makes me not want to sit down at all..

Is this something that all people with Fibro get? I've had it for a long time but, lately noticed it a lot more. It's getting worse. The cracking is so loud!

You might want to check with your doctor. I have similar difficulties if I have been sitting for more than an hour. However, I do not have such noticable creaking and cracking. There may be some other underlying skeletal problem that is the primary condition. Fibromyalgia may be secondary.

I can remember my mother complaining of difficulty getting going after an evening of sitting down. However, she also lived in the days when housework was a major, all day actiivty...up and down stairs to the cellar, the attic, etc. Cheerio.

I do not know your age, but I have this and it sounds more like arthritis to me.

Yes, Yes, Yes

after sitting for any amount of time, I'm stiff and uncomfortable

I attribute it to "arthritis" and fibro

stretching, frequently getting up to move around and gentle aerobic exercise helps, as does yoga

'keep moving and good luck'
