Jimmie tries to talk every once in a blue moon.
Today, after playgroup, I was trying to get Jimmie to take a nap. He kept trying to sit up. I had to lay down with him and hold him. He started saying..."pu ray, pu lay, pu lay." I wanted to let him up to reward his word (play). But I knew he'd fall asleep at like 7 pm and wake up at 10 and be up all night if I didn't get that nap into him.

Jimmie is still seizure free. He is doing well developmentally. I don't know that he has gained any new skills per se...but he has worked on the ones he has, and he is doing things like doing and undoing velcro...which is new...so yay to that, except that he walks out of his shoes. lol Oh and he keeps ejecting his Daddy's game out of the play station 3. His father gets irritated if the stupid thing gets turned on, and he is always doing that. So little gains. But that's good.

I think any gains are FAB and every 'little' helps!! (it's the slogan of a cheap supermarket in the UK, but it's true!);) You have to have the little things for bigger things to happen, e.g. cause and effect. and practice makes perfect!! (on the skills he has already learnt.) You made me laugh writing about the playstation, all he needs to do is convert that to turning things off, and he could be your lil energy saver ;) (as long as he doesn't do it while Dad is trying to play!)
Way to go Jimmie! Keep it up!:D

Oh, and last night he was "sitting" in my lap...squirming, hitting, wriggling trying to get out of my lap is more like it. His father came over and picked him up. He smiled and said, "DaDa." It was totally freakin' awesome!

OMG! Thats awesome news! It brings tears to my eyes, in a good way. I desperately needed to read some good news!
I can't wait to her how much more Jimmie starts doing with those nasty seizures leaving him alone!
