HI! Has anybody had any experience with this medication. I also have PD and take medicines for that. I'm suppose to start taking Hydroxychloroquine in January. I've reached the point where I can't tell where the arthritis starts and the PD leaves off. The pain is becoming more debilitating. I'm not ready to quit living and cry. Will it help? I see it can have a great deal of side affects. But does it help the pain and will I be able to move a little better.

I appreciate your input.

I started to use this drug about three weeks ago and yes it does help me with pain. I started to take it for RA. I have found that it helps with the pain in my fingers, wrists, ankles and feet...so good luck with it...What is PD? It also took away the redness in my hands and face. I think it is one of the best drugs I have taken to date. Were you told to take it with a high dose of Vitamin D?

I wanted to post that after taking this drug for about two months I am having vision problems. My RA doc said he does not think it is from the Plaquenil since I have not been on it that long, but I do not want to take any chances. I have stopped the drug for now. He wants to prescribe something else, but in truth I am afraid of all of the RA drugs since they seem to have terrible side effects. So what to do?
