Anyone have one that can act as a stand-alone copier? I.e., you can make copies while your computer is off?
Recommendations?

I'm sorry. The copier I have is a stand-alone photocopy machine. (My 'puter printer and scanner are diff. machines - also apart from the fax system used for business.)
I've a strong feeling, though, someone else will post, whom uses a combo. machine and re: an all-in-one making (mulitple ?) copies while the computer is turned off.
Maybe once the pages are spooled to/queued in the component that will be printing the copies, maybe the computer can be turned off.

I tested mine, The Pogue, and it didn't work without the computer on. I don't know if any of them do but my lexmark, X1240 doesn't. I knew you'd wanted to know and wasn't sure you'd seen my reply in the autism forum in the thread i made the other night. :)

I have used 2 different ones (my son's & my daughter's) and they both work not even hooked up to the computer.
I'm too flared to check right now, but if you need to know which ones they are I'll check a little later
