vacation

I am leaving Betsy at home with the nurse while my husband, daughter #2 and I go on spring break. My son was supposed to have gone skiing with a friend, but we cancelled his trip at the last minute because he is failing 2 subjects in school. When I called the mom of the boy who had invited him, her response was "report card! What report card?" Apparently her son didn't show his to her. When she confronted him, he ran away from home. I feel terrible about ruining her vacation. I guess he made it back home, but I don't know if they went on the skiing trip or not.
I won't be able to check up on everyone, but I will keep you all in my prayers. Please pray for Betsy's health and safety while we are gone.

I am sorry about the other boy running away, but you did the other mom a real favor! Glad the boy did return home! Sorry that your son's grades were not so good!

well. we are back safe and sound. Betsy was fine. it was a good thing that we didn't take her because the place we went was completely inaccessible. I will post some photos once dh downloads them.
we sent my son to work at the hotel that my in-laws run. He had a miserable experience- bored all day, unable to sleep due the noise. i hope he learned his lesson.

Here is a nice picture of Machu Picchu. It took us about 4 hours to climb the mountain in the background. This is a great place for the able-bodied, but notif you have any sort of orthopedic or respiratory problem.
