anyone else in high school? help.

I am a 18 year old guy, senior in high school and dont really feel like i fit in, which really brings me down, and puts away my willpower to even try to do things that i'd probably have fun doing. Is anyone else in this position, or has been and gotten out of the terrible negative thinking?

No longer in high school.......but trust me it's beyond common to feel like you don't fit in. I still shudder thinking about the HELL I went through.
To any parents of special needs kids who are lurking.........please please be very very careful about mainstreaming beginning in middle school/jr high. I don't really have any advice....but it does seem like unless you're a jock or another "stereotypically popular in high school" type, high school is misrable.
Especially if you attend high school in an area that's not too diverse.
The good news is that it's only a few more weeks til you're out of that hellhole.
Do you have any extracurricular activities not connected to high school? That can help.

Hi. I'm a 17 year old girl in my last year of high school and I experience exactly the same 'I don't fit in' thing. I am completely main streamed. This year I've made a few friends which helps a lot. I'm proud of myself.
Only a few more weeks (or months if you're in the southern hemisphere).
